Jon Kitchen – Plumbers & Gas Safe Engineers are a local family firm, based
in Poynton, with nearly 60 years combined experience in the Plumbing & Heating
industry. Our range of Services includes Boiler and Heating Installations,
General Plumbing Maintenance & Repairs (inc’ Small Jobs), and Gas Appliance
Servicing, alongside Bathroom, En-Suite, and Shower Re-Furbishments.
Having lived and worked in Poynton most of our lives much of our workload
comes from local clients in Poynton and the surrounding villages of
Bramhall, Wilmslow, Adlington, Bollington, & Prestbury, Marple, and Romiley, plus the Fiveways area of
Hazel Grove.
Jon Kitchen
A resident of Poynton for some 60 years I feel I have just about become
accepted as a “Peytner”, although some locals may still consider me an
“Incomer”.
Educated at the Kings School in Macclesfield, I have worked with a number of
leading Manufacturers in the Heating industry and gained significant
experience of heating and plumbing systems; their design and application. I
established my Poynton based Plumbing business in 1999 since which we have
earned an excellent reputation amongst many Customers locally.
Dave Lock
Another local boy, David was educated at Poynton County High School and has
lived in Poynton for the majority of his life. Following two periods of work
experience with Jon Kitchen & Son, whilst in Year 10 at PCHS, Dave started
with the firm on a full time Plumbing Apprenticeship in 2004, studying for
his City & Guilds qualifications in plumbing, heating, and gas fitting at
Stockport College.
Since qualifying with flying colours in 2008 Dave has worked diligently for
the firm and has done much to further develop and enhance our established
reputation. His mild and considerate manner serves us well and is popular
with many Customers.

Following the successes of their early years in working together Jon Kitchen
& Dave Lock are pleased to announce that along with Jon’s wife Susan they
have formed a Partnership to further enhance their plumbing & heating
business and the services offered to Local Customers.
